I would like you to have an awesome experience by visiting my blog and learn what I can offer you. If you are like myself and love the aroma that fills the home with mouth watering delicious cooking, you are at the right place!!!!
I was born and raised in Hungary and my biggest passion besides my family is cooking and entertaining.
I believe food should taste good, should be simple most of the time, and most importantly, food should come from a trusted place. I believe in organic gardening and free range animal products.
When I cook for you I will do the shopping for you from either local organic growers or trusted supermarkets that carry certified organic fruits and vegetables and free range animal products. I will prepare these dishes at your house so everything will be fresh and ready to enjoy.
I would love to cook authentic Hungarian dishes or other dishes for you that you and your family desire.

Pasta Salads and Soups

Sun dried Tomato Pasta Salad: Sun dried tomatoes and olives sauted in olive oil and garlic, combined with fresh cherry tomatoes, pasta, seasonings and a hint of Parmesan cheese.

Linguini with Shrimp: Shrimp sauted in butter, garlic and lemon. Mixed with fresh linguini and topped with parsley and lemon slices.

Hungarian Chicken Soup: A whole chicken slowly cooked in onions, garlic and vegetables. Served with vermicelli pasta separately cooked, so that the soup remains a beautiful clear golden color.

Beef or Pork Soup/Broth: A whole piece of beef or pork slowly cooked in onions, garlic and vegetables. Served with vermicelli pasta. The hot bone marrow is served with a rustic bread rubbed with fresh garlic. The piping hot meat is served with horse radish.

Chicken Ragu Soup: Sauted chicken and vegetables in a broth served with a dollop of sour cream.

Beef or Pork Ragu Soup: Sauted with your choice of beef or pork in a broth. Served with a dollop of sour cream.

Hungarian Gulyas Soup: A rich beef stew seasoned with famous Hungarian paprika and caraway seeds. Cooked with potatoes and vegetables in a broth and served with a pinched pasta. A signature Hungarian Dish!

Cauliflower Soup: Sauted Cauliflower and vegetables in a broth, served with egg noodle dumplings and a dollop of sour cream.

Dry Bean Soup: Dry beans cooked with vegetables, garlic and smoked shanks in a broth. Finished with a light garlic roue and served with nipped pasta and sour cream.

Lentil Soup: Dry lentils cooked with onions, bay leaves and vegetables. Finished with a light roue and a sour cream and vinegar topping.

Stuffed Vegetables

Stuffed Green Peppers (Toltott Paprika): Large Peppers filled with a delicious mixture of pork, seasonings and rice, cooked in a delicious tomato based sauce.

Stuffed Cabbage (Toltott Kaposzta): This dish is a must for anyone who wants to sample Hungarian Cuisine!
Cabbage leaves are filled with a mixture of ground pork, rice, Hungarian Paprika, and other seasonings. It is then cooked with sauerkraut, pork shoulder, pork ribbs and finished with a light roue topped with sourcream. Served with rustic bread.

Stews & Pork Dishes

Beef in Gravy, Hunter Style, with bread dumplings (Vadas): This is a wonderful beef stew with pureed vegetables served over homemade toasted bread dumplings.

Transsylvanian Black Pepper Fricasse (Erelyi Borsos Tokany): Beef stew in a sourcream sauce, seasoned with Hungarian Paprika and freshly ground pepper. Served with nokedli, a handmade dumpling, also called the spetzle.

Pan Fried Pork Sirlion with Carmelized Onions (Hagymasrostelyos): A pork sirloin seared and cooked in vine, served with carmelized onions and mashed potatoes.

Pork Roast with Giant Potato Gnocchi and Braised Cabbage: A delicious pork roast infused with garlic and marjoram, served with giant potato gnocci. A braized red cabbage seasoned with caraway seeds in a tangy juice, is the perfect compliment to this dish.
